Twitter is one of my favorite new marketing tools but how much marketing is too much? The answer is not as straight forward as it seems and really depends on how much you tweet on a normal basis. The general rule of thumb is to market every 7 to 9 tweets. That is 6 -8 non-marketing tweets for every 1 marketing tweet.
Mix it up! Don't always send out the same type of twitter message. Often the best tweets make a statement, take a stance or tell a joke! Get creative!
